This is the time of year when I send money to Mary the head teacher, in time to buy the children\u2019s presents. For new godparents, there are no addresses there in Pachacutec, so it isn\u2019t possible to post a personal present. If you have a particular preference (last year it was a nice toy\/game + a tee shirt) please say so and I\u2019ll pass it on. Thank you to those who have sent me something already \u2013 a maximum of \u00a35 is more than enough. It isn\u2019t compulsory either since I send an amount that we have raised already so that all the children have something. Anything left over goes towards their hot chocolate and panet\u00f3n celebration just before they break up in December.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Calendars and Tea towels<\/strong>..<\/span><\/p>\n Even as I write, our 2011 charity calendar<\/strong> proof is at the printers while adjustments are being made, but this year, Educateperu<\/strong> has produced a calendar of the 2 Saxlingham schools \u2013 in this village and in Pachacutec, Peru. There are 2 or more coloured photos per page (1 of each school) + the dates with space to write in each day at approx \u00a34 each.<\/p>\n The tea towel<\/strong> will have 3 outline drawings – the 2 schools + our village church probably \u2013 the proof isn\u2019t finished yet, but I\u2019ll write with more details when I have them.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, December 4th<\/sup> is the\u00a0Saxlingham Nethergate Christmas fair and Educateperu <\/strong>will have a stall selling these items + other things \u2013 there will hopefully be Head Massages on offer too since \u00a0Carlos at least\u00a0\u00a0is still on 2 feet even if I\u2019m not by then!
